Dr. Dimitris Kanellopoulos is a member of the Educational Software Development Laboratory (ESD Lab) in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Patras, Greece. He received a Diploma in Electrical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Patras. Since 1990, he has been a research assistant in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Patras and involved in several EU R&D projects. His research interests include multimedia networks, TCP variants for congestion control, wireless ad-hoc networks, and IoT.
He has edited two books on "Multimedia Networking" (published by IGI Global). He serves as an Associate Editor of Human-centric Computing and Information Sciences (HCIS) [IF:5.90]. He also serves as an Editorial board member in some refereed journals such as Informatica. He is an Editorial Board Member for the section 'Electronic Multimedia' in Electronics (MDPI), and a topic Editor in Sensors (MDPI) [IF: 3.275] and Electronics (MDPI) [IF: 2.412]. He is a member of the IEEE Technical Committee on Multimedia Communications.
Dimitris has authored over 100 peer-reviewed papers in international journals and conferences.
